Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is a Cake Pop?

A cake pop is a form of cake designed to look like a lollipop. Fully cooked cake is made into crumbs and are mixed with icing or chocolate, and formed into small spheres, cubes, or any desired shape, before being given a coating of  melted  candy coating or chocolate and/or any other decorations and attached to lollipop sticks. They are fun, whimsical and a great eye

catching treat to have at parties, events, etc.

INGREDIENTS

1A) Where can I find a list of the ingredients you use and what are they?

On the back or bottom of all my packaging you will find a QR Code. If you scan it, it will lead to this page with a list of all the ingredients I use in my cakes, cookie doughs, frostings and decor. Listed below are the ingredients:

Ingredients that may be in or used to decorate within our cake pops & Cookie Dough (Bitty Bites):

Ingredients: AP or Whole wheat flour(wheat, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid and enzyme), white or brown sugar(granulated sugar, molasses), powdered sugar, eggs, *milk (Whole -OR- Buttermilk -OR- Coconut), baking soda, baking powder, *Salt, *nuts (peanuts, walnuts, pecans), *Peanut butter, *coco powder, *coconut oil, *Shredded coconut, unsalted/salted butter(cream),*Pumpkin, *fruit (fresh or freeze dried), vanilla extract, *flavor extracts/emulsions (coconut, lemon, orange, almond, mint, maple, caramel, cream cheese), colored candy coatings/melts (sugar, partially hydrogenated palm kernel oil, reduced mineral whey powder, whole milk solids, nonfat dry milk solids, soy lecithin, salt, artificial flavor), *marshmallow(sugar, water whipping agent), *fondant(sugar, water, gelatin, shortening and glycerol), *Coffee/Instant expresso powder *food coloring (oil based & water based) *Sprinkles *Edible paint(Poppy Paints) *Chocolate/baking chips *Jello Mix *Pudding Mix *Sometimes store bought frosting is used as a binder as well

*(NOT AN ALLERGY FREE PRODUCT)*

**All my cake pops, coco bombs and cookie dough are made in a Cottage Food Operation that is NOT subject to state food safety inspections. But I take food handling & sanitation VERY seriously. I am certified in the state of Virginia for food handling & sanitation. ALL of my baking supplies, equipment, utensils, etc. are stored separate from my home use items**

2B) Are your Cake Pops vegan, gluten and/or nut free?

Currently I don't offer vegan or allergy, gluten free options. I am a home kitchen business and my house hold is NOT NUT or GLUTEN FREE and because of that I DO NOT want to risk cross-contamination to my products especially if someone is sensitive to certain allergies, glutens, etc.

In terms of nut free, many of my flavors are NUT FREE but do be AWARE my home

kitchen is NOT nut free and nuts are used frequently in the kitchen. I cannot 100%

guarantee that my cake pops are hypoallergenic. **(Consume at your own risk)**

3) What are your most popular flavors?

Of course all of our flavors are tasty and delicious! The most popular choices are Strawberry Shortcake Crunch, Red Velvet, Deliciously Dark, Simply Vanilla and Lemon/berry. If you can't choose just one, make sure to mix and match flavors to appeal to all your guests.

**NOTE: ONE FLAVOR per Dozen cake pops.

4) How do I store my cake pops? Bitty Bites? Do they need to be refrigerated?

Refrigeration is not needed for our cake pops. Once cake pops have been dipped in the candy coating/chocolate the cake is deemed "sealed" by the outer candy coating layer for freshness.  The cake is fully cooked and includes shelf-stable ingredients before being shaped and dipped. *NOTE: Cake pops MUST BE stored at room temperature NO WARMER than 72-74 degrees.

*One tip is if you wish to prolong the shelf-life for a few more days you CAN refrigerate them. This is especially important for any of the cake pops that contain FRUIT.

*NOTE if you choose to refrigerate your cake pops, make sure they are placed in a SEALED air-tight container to prevent condensation which can ruin the integrity of your cake pops.

**IMPORTANT** DO NOT DISPLAY YOUR CAKE POPS NEAR HEAT, IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT, OR FOR AN EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME OUTSIDE. THEY WILL MELT AND BE DEEMED INEDIBLE**

*For our BITTY BITES, once you receive and open your container/cup it's best to consume your order within TWO HOURS or place in the refrigerator to be consumed later.

-They can keep at room temperature for TWO hours.

-They can keep in the refrigerator for NO LONGER than 5 days.

They can keep in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.

5) What is the shelf-life of your cake pops before they expire?

I always prepare my cake pops with freshness and delicious flavor/taste as my top priority. From the date in which you get/pick-up your cake pops, they are good for up to 5 days. Although shelf-life for cake pops can vary, it is NOT RECOMMENDED that you consume your cake pops AFTER 7 days UNLESS you refrigerate -OR- freeze them. **Consume at your own risk**

-They can keep at room temperature for ONE week.

-They can keep in a airtight container in the refrigerator 2 WEEKS

_They can keep in an airtight container in the freezer for 3 MONTHS

*But because Bean Bites are so delicious they won't last more than a day or 2!

6) What's the minimum amount of Cake Pops I can order?

Bean Bites Cake Pops are ONLY sold by the dozen (12+ per order). The reason behind this is because of the size(s) of the cake batches, as well as the labor and assembly involved and having limited amounts of waste.

7) How far ahead should I place an order

-For smaller orders (between 12-60) need to be booked 2-3 weeks in advance at MINIMUM.

-For larger orders (between 72 and up) need to be booked a month and 1/2 in advance due to the supplies needed, time required and labor. *(Examples: weddings, large work events, etc.)

**NOTE: Because all of the cake(s) and frosting(s) are homemade/made to order I need adequate time to bake, prepare and focus on the design for each order. Many orders require special ingredients or supplies (especially for the decor aspect).

**TIP: If your in a bind and you need at last minute order check out  my PARTY BITES page. It's a perfect option for last minute requests & minimal design planning required.

8) If I discuss an event date, design details & flavors does that reserve my event date on your calendar?

-Unfortunately No.

-ONLY full-payment -OR- Deposit (depending on order size) reserves your requested date.

-I DO NOT reserve dates based on conversations/message exchanges alone. **I CAN NOT guarantee your date will still be available a week or two after the date/plans have been discussed.

**My best advice is if you have a desired date, design plan, etc in mind, reach out as soon as possible to finalize everything so your date is 100% secured.

**When your Order Quote is emailed to you, you have a 3 day "grace period" to look over & sign your contract. After the 3 days, if the contract is not signed, it becomes VOID. So please make sure you look everything over & sign in a timely manner to begin the process of securing your desired date & order.

9) What are my payment options

-Orders that are less than $200 MUST be paid in full at the time of the request/order agreement. This covers the expenses needed for baking/decor supplies, design planning and of course the labor. But MOST importantly it secures your order.

**If you are unable to pay in full at the time of the request/order agreement please let this be known at the time you place your order so I can hopefully work with you on a payment date.

**ORDERS WILL NOT be fulfilled if the FULL payment is not made a week and 1/2 prior to your event/delivery date.**

-Orders more than $200 (large events, weddings, etc.) requires a NON-REFUNDABLE  50% deposit. The remaining balance is DUE 2 weeks prior to the delivery/pickup date.

-Once the order(s) have been placed, there are NO cancellations or refunds due to the specific supplies, ingredients, etc needed for the orders. Payments are final.

**Read more about cancellations and/or refund policies:
